2 Seas Motorsport will return to a two-car entry for the next round of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Brands Hatch. The Anglo-Bahraini team will combine with Sky Tempesta Racing for a second time this season, having successfully raced together at the opening round, scoring a podium finish. Chris Froggatt makes a welcome return to the team, partnering with two-time champion Andrew Howard in the #93 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The pair will join the team’s regular Pro-Am pairing of Lewis Williamson and James Cottingham over the weekend, 10-11 September.

Having claimed the British GT title twice, Andrew is no stranger to the series or Brands Hatch, winning there on the way to his first title in 2013. He also contested a round of the championship earlier this season, as well as the opening rounds of the GT World Challenge Europe calendar. Round 8 of the season will, however, be his debut event with the Mercedes-AMG.

Chris, meanwhile, made his British GT debut earlier this year with 2 Seas Motorsport at Oulton Park, alongside a full season campaign in GT World Challenge Europe. A hard-fought battle during the season opening event saw him climb through the order to claim a podium result in the Silver-Am class, and a top-5 finish overall on his debut weekend. He then made a further appearance for the season headline event at Silverstone earlier in the summer.

“It’s great to get back behind the wheel of a racing car as I haven’t raced anything since the Paul Ricard GT World Challenge Europe event at the start of June. That feels like quite a while ago so I’m very pleased to join 2 Seas Motorsport for Brands Hatch. Not only can I use this chance to keep myself race-sharp, but also to sample the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the first time. It’s the third different model of GT3 car I’ll have raced this year, and there’s probably nobody else on the grid that can say that, so I feel quite privileged.
“Nick and Isa have amassed an impressive number of trophies for a team that was established less than three years ago and my good friend Jonny Adam – who has raced with them twice already this year – has told me how highly he rates the job they’re doing. Brands Hatch is a great circuit and one I’m eager to get back to.”

“It is great to be back working with Sky Tempesta Racing, and to have Chris back for a second event of the year. I am also really pleased to welcome double champion Andrew to the team for the Brands Hatch weekend. He has a fantastic track record in the series, scoring multiple wins, podiums and pole positions over the past few seasons. It will also be a great learning opportunity for him to trial a third different GT3 car as he experiences the Mercedes-AMG for the first time. Chris made a great start to his British GT campaign with us earlier this year, scoring our first podium and, alongside his other European commitments, he continues to get stronger in the Mercedes with each race. Together with James and Lewis, both entries will be pushing for a strong result.”
