About us

British-Bahraini 2 Seas Motorsport has quickly established itself as a front-running GT3 team, competing and winning at the highest levels across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

With victory on debut, the team has built a reputation for being consistent performers, and as much a benchmark off-track, in the pitlane and paddock. Among its list of impressive results, 2 Seas Motorsport has achieved back-to-back victories at the Gulf 12 Hours, including converting pole position to a dominant victory on its endurance racing debut. From here, and with a switch of manufacturers to Mercedes-AMG for the 2021 season, the team scored victories at every race event contested, before bookending the season by secured a further victory at the Gulf 12 Hours.

Over the past two seasons, 2 Seas Motorsport has become a consistent front-running performer in the Intelligent Money British GT championship, scoring multiple podiums and outright victories against a field which contiunues to gain strength. The 2023 season, in particular, has been the strongest year for the team, and the driver line-up of Ian Loggie / Jules Gounon and James Cottingham / Jonny Adam helped claim the coveted GT3 Teams’ championship with a round to go, while both fiercely fighting for the overall GT3 Drivers’ title.

The team is spearheaded by co-owners Sh. Isa Al Khalifa and Nick Cristofaro who, between them, bring nearly 30 years of motorsport knowledge from the paddocks and on track as racing drivers and driver management. Underlining its intentions, and supporting the growth of the team, 2 Seas Motorsport recently relocated to a new 7,000sq ft workshop space at the heart of 'motorsport valley' in the UK, located at Silverstone Circuit.

The DRIVERS

The 2023 season has seen 2 Seas Motorsport field one of the strongest two-car team driver line-ups in the history of British GT.

Reigning British GT champion, and championship stalwart, Ian Loggie joined the team for 2023, pairing with the highly successful AMG factory driver, Jules Gounon. Alongside them, James Cottingham returns, with unfinished business, and his championship effort is supported by four-time champion, Jonny Adam.

Ian Loggie
is no stranger to the team, having stood on the Gulf 12 Hours podium at the start of the start of 2022. The result was the start of a trophy-filled season, scoring podiums in GT World Challenge Europe, FIA Motorsport Games, 24H GT Series, and GT Cup, as well as the overall Asian Le Mans Series and British GT titles. The results scored him special recognition with Mercedes-AMG to be named 'Championship and Driver GT3 Classification' at the brand's 'Night of the Stars' event.

Jules Gounon
has enjoyed a hugely successful time with Mercedes-AMG, since joining in 2021. This year alone, he has taken a record third win at the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hours,  added the Rolex Daytona 24 Hours to his long list of accolades, and secured a second successive Fanatic GT World Challenge powered by AWS championship title. These results add to other standout results including double honours at the 24 Hours of Spa, and an impressive debut campaign in the British GT championship in 2022, alongside Ian, which saw him score podiums at each of the four races he contested.

James Cottingham has quickly proven himself as one of the best-performing Am drivers on the grid. With a strong debut season in British GT under his belt, he returns to 2 Seas Motorsport with unfinished business. The experienced historic racer was hindered by more than his fair share of bad luck in his debut year, and, while a first race win eluded him, he still scored a pole position, a further two front row starts and two podiums. This record was enough to keep him in the title battle through until the final round, eventually claiming fourth in the championship.

One of the most highly-experienced.and highly-regarded, and definitely the most successful names in British GT history, Jonny Adam completes the line-up for the team, alongside James. The four-time champion makes a welcome return the team, having made selected appearances during last season. One of the most highly decorated drivers in the championship’s history, Jonny scored an impressive podium during the second event, despite his lack of experience with the Mercedes-AMG. The Scot will take his 100th race start when the season commences at Oulton Park.
