2 Seas Motorsport finalises Intelligent Money British GT Championship entry

2 Seas Motorsport will run a second Silver Cup entry in the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship with confirmation of Jack Mitchell and Jordan Witt joining the team.

  • Jack Mitchell confirmed alongside Jordan Witt in the second McLaren 720S GT3s for maiden season
  • Championship regular Mitchell returns to the championship having taken GT4 honours in 2018
  • Witt makes a welcome full-season return after GTC class victory in 2011

The British pair will run in the #10 McLaren 720S GT3, with the first race of the weekend taking place this weekend at Oulton Park. This latest addition to the team joins Angus Fender and Dean Macdonald in the sister McLaren for the team’s competitive real-world debut.

Former British GT champion Jack Mitchell is confirmed with 2 Seas Motorsport for the 2020 season and returns to the Intelligent Money British GT Championship having taken the GT4 title in 2018. the 22-year old Brit also claimed GT4 class honours in the China GT Championship In the same year, scoring two victories in each series to claim the titles. Mitchell is no stranger to success in GT3 machinery, making his class debut in the British GT championship during 2017 and scoring four podium finishes and two pole positions in the process. After taking the GT4 honours in 2018, Jack then returned to the GT3 grid last season, scoring two podium finishes.

Jordan Witt joins the team with a strong GT-race-winning CV from across Europe in a variety of different machinery. With the revised 2020 calendar, Jordan makes a welcome return to the British GT championship having made a winning start in the GTC class with GTC championship victory in 2011. From here, he scored strong results in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB before moving up to race at GT3 level during 2016 with a string of victories during his maiden season. The 2017 season saw further race victories in International GT Open before scoring a stand-out result last season taking Silver class honours at the Total 24 Hours of Spa. Witt makes a return to the British GT grid having campaigned selected rounds during 2017 before a one-off GT3 appearance last season.

2 Seas Motorsport will campaign two examples of the McLaren 720S GT3 in the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship season. The chrome blue and black liveried pair will challenge for Silver class honours with Angus Fender and Dean Macdonald at the wheel of the #9, while Jack and Jordan will line up in the #10.

The revised 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship starts this weekend with qualifying taking place on Saturday 1 August, before the two 60-minute long races during the afternoon of Sunday 2 August at Oulton Park.
