2 Seas Motorsport confirms full Sprint and Endurance programmes with expanded GT World Challenge Europe campaign
The 2026 season will see 2 Seas Motorsport return with an extended European programme, confirming an exciting GT World Challenge Europe campaign. Having secured the Gold Cup honours during last season, and a Bronze Cup race victory, the British-Bahraini outfit will contest both classes once again, with full-season entries into both the Endurance and, for a first time, the Sprint events. This will see the 10 events run with a 2 Seas Motorsport entry in the Bronze Cup, while also operating the Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing entry in the Pro Cup, both running the Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Following on from an impressive victory at the Nurburgring round last season, 2 Seas Motorsport will contest the full Bronze Cup, with an exciting line-up at the wheel of the #222 Mercedes-AMG GT3. Rejoining the team will be reigning British GT champions Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss for the full campaign across Sprint and Endurance, as they look to continue building on their successful partnership. Joining them for the Endurance events to complete the line-up is Irish racer and GT World Challenge Europe podium finisher, Reece Barr, who returns to the series for a second season.
As reigning Gold Cup champions, the Verstappen Racing entry will return, running from the 2026 season with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro class. Chris Lulham, who claimed the 2025 Endurance Cup title, will run alongside Daytona 24 Hour winner, Daniel Juncadella for the full season, and the highly-decorated Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Jules Gounon joining the pair for the endurance events. This entry will run with the support of 2 Seas Motorsport across both Sprint and Endurance campaigns, expanding on the successful 2025 programme.
“I’m excited to be back behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT3 this season, and to join the reigning GT World Challenge and British GT champions, 2 Seas Motorsport, alongside Charles and Kiern. With this line-up and this team, I’m confident we can achieve great things this year. There’s a winning streak to extend, so our goals for the 2026 season is clear.”
Reece Barr, 2 Seas Motorsport driver, #222 Mercedes-AMG GT3
“I’m excited to be making the step up from British GT, and to be continuing this journey alongside Kiern and with 2 Seas. As a team, we worked really well together, and proved that we can match some of the best drivers out there. I’m really looking forward to taking this next step and the challenge that will come with it. It’s also great to have Reece as part of the team, as he’s a quick teammate and has important experience in this championship already. I’m under no illusions of how challenging the season will be – I had a taster last year, which got me hooked – and it is probably the most competitive GT series in the world. It’s not going to be easy, but we will approach it in the same way we did our campaign last year, manage expectations, put in the work, and take the opportunity to learn. Really looking forward to seeing what we can do all together.”
Charles Dawson, 2 Seas Motorsport driver, #222 Mercedes-AMG GT3
“It’s fantastic to confirm a full programme with Charles again, and having Reece alongside us for the Endurance rounds. I’m excited to be back with 2 Seas Motorsport after the strong season we had last year, and we’re focused on building on that momentum — taking each race as it comes and improving at every step. Competing across Sprint and Endurance is a new challenge, but with the proven Mercedes-AMG GT3 and a great team behind us, I’m confident we have everything we need. I can’t wait to get started at Paul Ricard in April.”
Kiern Jewiss, 2 Seas Motorsport driver, #222 Mercedes-AMG GT3
“This combined two-car programme is exactly where I have always hoped 2 Seas Motorsport would be, running across different classes, with two line-ups proven and capable of winning at the highest level. The Bronze Cup line-up is a really exciting prospect, and it is great to continue our journey with Kiern and Charles as they take their next steps with the genuine talent of Reece. Alongside this, it is great to continue our relationship with Verstappen Racing, and to be back fighting for the title after last year’s Gold Cup success with Chris, who gets stronger with every race. I’m delighted to have Jules back with us, and for someone of Daniel’s calibre to complete the line up, and to continue to build our programme alongside Mercedes-AMG.”
