The GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup returned to action at Brands Hatch over the weekend. The 2 Seas Motorsport-run Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing entry delivered a strong showing across the duration of the event, scoring a podium finish and scoring important championship points.

Qualifying set the tone for the weekend as Dani Juncadella put the Mercedes-AMG GT3 fourth on the grid ahead of Race 1, and teammate Chris Lulham secured a front row start for race 2. The team was well placed to challenge at the front of the field in the opening event, and the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 worked its way up the order to take the win on track. However, a post-race penalty dropped the pair to 13th in the final classification.

Race 2 saw Chris and Dani start strongly, fighting at the front of field. The pair held position across the hour race, bringing home the podium finish to open their campaign with a solid points haul for the championship.

GT World Challenge Europe now prepares for the season headline event with the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa prologue, before being back in race action in Monza at the end of the month.
