Pole and a debut podium close out the British GT season at Brands Hatch

2 Seas Motorsport signed off the 2026 British GT season at Brands Hatch with pole position for the #18 Contempo Concept Mercedes-AMG GT3, and a class podium the #15. Kevin Tse and Chris Lulham were together for a second weekend, and topped the final qualifying session of the season, while Aaron Walker was joined by GT3 rookie Todd Kingsford, with the pair stepping on to the final step of the podium to round out the season in style.

With the championship out of reach heading into the season final, the focus for the team was a strong weekend and finishing the year on the highest note possible. Kevin and Chris rejoined forces in the #18, while Aaron was joined in the #15 by Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia championship leader, Todd Kingsford, who was making his first ever GT3 start.

A positive opening qualifying session saw Kevin go P3 overall, while Todd took on his first competitive GT3 session and was P8 overall, getting to grips with the car – and Brands Hatch – quickly. Chris then showed his pace once again, setting the fastest overall lap of qualifying for a second successive weekend to secure outright pole position for the finale.

When the lights went out on Sunday, Kevin defended hard into Paddock Hill Ben, but ultimately dropped in behind one of the championship-chasers. Todd made a strong start to his debut race, gaining a position off the line, and he continued to find his feet as he made further gains during his stint. Pushing the limits with each lap then saw him penalized with a track limits penalty which dropped him back, but his pace remained strong until the pit window opened, still running inside the top 10. Meanwhile, Kevin capitalised on a mistake by one of the championship contenders, climbing back to P2 as he concluded his final stint of the season.

The success penalty from the previous round dropped the #18 back slightly, and Chris was released immediately into a fight for position as he left the pitlane. A full course caution as the stops played out left the field tightly packed, and the stage set for a final sprint to the line. Chris was running inside the top four when a drive-through penalty dropped him back into the midfield. The penalty was heavily contested by the team, who believed it had been issued in error as, in reality, no regulation had been breached. Unfortunately, with the penalty already served, there was no opportunity to reverse the decision or recover the lost track position. With the time remaining, Chris fought his way back to P7 overall at the chequered flag. Meanwhile, Aaron continued to show strong pace in the #15, securing P4 in the Silver-Am class and P9 overall. A post-race penalty for one of the lead cars promoted both Mercedes, moving Todd and Aaron on to the final step of the class podium, and rewarding an impressive debut weekend.

Brands Hatch was a positive end to a rollercoaster season, which has seen strong results from both sides of the garage. The team has scored three overall podium results and a pole position, on the way to finishing fourth in the championship standings, while with a class victory and podium, Aaron also ended the season in fourth place in the Silver-Am Driver championship.

Focus for the team is now immediately back to the European campaign, as the GT World Challenge Europe programme enters the final stages. The Sprint calendar concludes this coming weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, 2-4 October, before the Endurance Cup season finale takes place in Portimao, Portugal, 16-18 October.
